Had a brilliant gig here! The place was friendly, comfortable and the sound is great. Brilliant night! Thanks Eden....x
AKA WERE @ THE EDEN BAR 11/02/05 you must check it out it's great place to play ....a good listening audience, and Angie the hostess keeps her place to a very high standard in deed and with nick on the optics and pump rather than guitar we had a great night hope to be back there again soon ... What a brilliant venue! Angie is a brilliant host. She and her staff looked after us really well! The audience were really nice, attentive and genuinely interested in the music. You need to visit Eden!
Having actually performed there I can say that this is a truly lovely and friendly venue - as intimate and chilled out or as pumped up as you want it to be, with an excellent host(ess) and very good sound indeed.
This place has a very chilled out 'playing at home in your lounge' vibe with comfortable leather sofas, standard lamp moody lighting and Jackson Pollock-esque paintings. The PA sounds excellent. Angie is a very pleasant, welcoming host. If she continues to book acts of the quality of Rich Barnard and Leonard Ng then this will most certainly become a regular haunt for me. I can't recommend it highly enough.
This venue makes a wonderful and refreshing change from the Central London slog. (Although judging from a couple of the comments below there are still a couple of w*%kers in Petersfield ;)) For performers everything is great - the PA is brilliant and Angie the host, is just lovely. When I went there was a friendly and enthusiastic crowd. I'd heartily recommend it to anyone. Give it a try if you're in the area...
I recently went to the Eden Bar after some time away, what happened? it use to be a really nice bar with a very enjoyable atmosphere, when did it go wrong?
A very cosy room, and Angie is the most charming hostess. As a performer, you get really well looked after. Sound system is perfect for the size of the room. The regulars who were in were really enthusiastic and friendly. CDs were sold, hands were shaken... only one person was made to cry.... (but that's another story). All in all, a really great night. Just watch out for that last train back to London. I can understand why other venues in the vicinity are worried about losing business, because this will undoubtedly become a hugely popular night.
Was there for their 1st gig last Friday and to say the least left there very surprised. Not at all what i expected. Sweet Laredo and Kev hardy surpassed most expectations and although DJ Sucha was not really my sort of thing all in all it was an impressive night. Much more of the same to come from this up and coming music haunt I hope!!! P.S no youngsters in baseball caps in sight and at a modest £3.50 at the door for future gigs ill no doubt go again.
Yongsters in baseball caps were not regulars and asked to leave. The venue is upstairs in comfortable lounge bar with leather sofas serving tapas & cocktails for the more discerning customers. Openig in two weeks for regular acoustic nights!
Went along,in its infancy so still finding its feet.On the plus side very cheap drink deals but on the down too many youngsters in baseball caps, sort of ruins any ambience!
